Before we say goodbye to 2014, we’d like to ring in the new year with 5 important stories in case you missed them. These articles go to the heart of our mission to change the conversation about side effects.

In the past year, we looked at long- and short-term side effects of many kinds of prescription drugs, and at ways to lessen those side effects, from finding alternative medications to making lifestyle changes. We published First Person accounts about finding the right pharmaceuticals for bipolar disorder and learning how important it is to get all the information you need from your doctor.

MedShadow Blog continues to be the voice of the website. Written by MedShadow Foundation creator Su Robotti, the blog challenges the FDA, the pharmaceutical industry and sometime conventional wisdom.

We also introduced a new blog, FDA Watch by Sarah Smedley, and keep posting in-the-news items we think you should know about.

And we’ll be doing all of the above — and more — in 2015.

Wishing you and your family a joyous and healthy New Year.
