Acupuncture is establishing an ever-larger base of well-done medical research showing a lot of benefits. Here we present two very recent studies and three more that we previously reported on from 2018-2019. And here’s a video from MedShadow TV talking about a personal experience with acupuncture: Acupuncture & Traditional Medicine Working Together Cancer Pain Acupuncture outperformed "sham" acupuncture to address cancer pain in this review of 17 randomized clinical trials and meta-analysis of 14 trials in the current English-language and Chinese-language literature. The researchers determined that there is a "moderate" amount of evidence that acupuncture and/or acupressure is "significantly associated"…
Rather than quickly resorting to medications when you experience aches and pains, try physical therapy or acupuncture to achieve long-term pain relief. Just under a year ago, my shoulder started hurting when I moved my arm in a particular way. It felt like I’d overstretched a muscle while sleeping on my side. I work out with a trainer, so I told him about the pain (discomfort, really) and my thoughts about what had caused it. For a couple of weeks we did some strengthening exercises and I worked on sleeping on my back all night. This was a problem and…
My brother-in-law was chagrined to be told by his doctor that he needed to take blood pressure medicine. "I’m one of the few people my age that I know that doesn’t need to take daily medicine. Many people find they can taper off and end their dependence on drugs once they’ve created a structure that helps them concentrate. ADHD medicines can be used as a temporary tool to aid you in focus, while behavioral therapy teaches you life-management skills and techniques. In fact, many people have set a goal of getting off ADHD drugs because so little is known about their effects on the mind and body when…
When is natural unnatural? Headline: “PepsiCo to no longer call Naked Juice ‘natural.’” Naked Juice, made of natural fruit juices has an “added boost of vitamins” according to its label. Those vitamins are synthetic, which is why consumer advocacy groups complained. PepsiCo announced they would stop using the term “natural” until there is regulatory guidance. PepsiCo’s announcement made me stop and wonder, “is there no regulatory guidance for the term ‘natural’?” I did some research and found out that PepsiCo has a point, but they are wrong. The FDA explains why they don’t define what “natural” means. From the FDA…
