MedShadow Receives 2018 AVA Digital Award for Nonprofit Web-Based Production

March 15th, 2018, New York, NY – MedShadow Foundation has received an Honorable Mention in the 2018 AVA Digital awards for Nonprofit Web-Based Production. The AVA Digital Awards honor the ways in which marketers and communications professionals engage audiences using the digital arts, technology, and shared information. Specifically, the MedShadow website – designed to feature everything consumers need to know about the side effects of medicine –  was recognized for its overall design and content.

“We’re delighted that MedShadow’s website has been recognized by the AVA Digital Awards,” said Suzanne Robotti, founder/president, MedShadow. “Our goal is to make information on side effects of medicines easily accessible. Thank you to the AVA Digital Awards for recognizing our staff’s hard work and drive to help people.”

The goal of the AVA Awards is to recognize and award excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, and design of online communication. Each entry is evaluated and scored by judges from AMCP, the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals, industry professionals who have been evaluating creative and digital work for over 20 years.

About MedShadow Foundation

Founded in 2012 by Su Robotti, MedShadow Foundation seeks to empower patients and encourage discussion between patient and health care provider about the short and long term side effects of prescription medication. MedShadow Foundation uses its website and various social media platforms to gather and report breaking news and resources related to the side effects of prescription medications. While recognizing the beneficial, often life-saving effects of prescription drugs, we know that accurate and complete information on side effects is frequently lacking.
