Too much of a good thing

I know several people who chew nicotine gum every day…years after quitting smoking. In today’s NYTimes, “Chew, but Not for Long,” shows how even an over-the-counter product like nicotine gum can create its own problems if used for longer than recommended. Remember, when your health care provider suggests an over the counter remedy, ask how long you can take it. You might be surprised!
