Alison Acerra is a nutrition strategist, speaker, and menopause specialist dedicated to transforming women’s health by addressing the root causes of hormonal imbalances and advocating for better menopause care. As the Principal and Founder of Alison Acerra Nutrition, she empowers women entrepreneurs and leaders with sustainable nutrition and lifestyle strategies to enhance energy, achieve hormone harmony, and lead with clarity and resilience.

With more than two decades of experience, Alison combines functional medicine principles with practical tools to help women navigate midlife transitions and build a foundation for lifelong health. She frequently speaks to women’s leadership groups, corporations, and organizations committed to advancing women in business, inspiring ambitious women to view menopause as a gateway to their next chapter of vitality and purpose.

In addition to her clinical work and mentorship programs, Alison partners with companies and foodservice organizations to implement “Food as Medicine” strategies focused on women’s wellness.

Alison earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree at The Pennsylvania State University in Applied Nutrition and her Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition at New York University. She began her career at the San Francisco VA Medical Center where she worked in multiple outpatient clinics (e.g. oncology, bariatric surgery), oversaw the Veteran’s MOVE (weight management) program and served as a workgroup contributor to the Department of Defense Treatment Guidelines on Weight Management. Later, exploring her passion for culinary nutrition, Alison co-authored, Diabetes Cookbook for Dummies 2nd Ed. and shortly after, earned a role at Google HQ as the Google Food Team’s Registered Dietitian.

When she isn’t supporting her clients, Alison is likely exploring the globe, or New York City where she recently relocated.
