There is not any chance of relaxing and watching TV for an evening. We are bombarded with constant medication advertising reminding us of all the horrible health problems to be faced and the horrible side effects even if you do take a medication. What is super irritating is being reminded to not take tis medication if you are allergic to it. Well, duh!!! Who would do that? That is stupid. I don’t want to hear about sickness every time I watch TV!!!!
The long list of side effects still run while the actors are gleefully dancing in slow motion so I’m assuming they have not adhered to this…
The technical language of this key factor states “a major statement may not include distracting representations that detract from the communication of the major statement.” The ruling does not prohibit music, loud sounds, or choreography, sadly, but instead simply says that these things must not play OVER the description of side effects or warnings.
Unfortunately, these extremely annoying drugs ads are not adhering to the new rules. The actors are still dancing and engaging in other fun activities while the side effects are being spewed out like diarrhea.
Pharma ads are disgusting. Every one shows users giddy with joy, then describes side effects in graphic and tasteless terminology. They are so intrusive to see and hear when a person is trying to have some relaxing leisure time.
I don’t appreciate being reminded constantly that I had cancer or that I could get it again. Just trying to relax and watch some tv then have to hear about metastatic breast cancer. Why would I recommend a drug that my dr wouldn’t already be considering if it was best.
Really sick of all the pharmacutical ads! Enough is enough! We Seniors don’t need to be constantly reminded of getting old, so often! We already know it and the dancing around a fountain, isn’t helping us in anyway! I would love to see commercials for hat has humor, we’d like to see Heinz and Cocoa Krispy or Ocar Meyer hot dog commercials rather than constantly have it thrown down our throat about getting old!
People should rely on their doctor’s expertise to prescribe. These ads are so repetitive and annoying. TV is for entertainment. Not all these depressing pharma ads.
OMG!!! You mean I won’t become a stellular dancer from taking Ozempic?? I am SO GLAD these changes are being made!! My spouse and i were reminiscnig about the old days of booze and cancer stick ads–at least we knew what we were in for!!!
