Am I reading this correctly, that these are two completely unrelated studies that have nothing to do with each other? This seems to just say that one study on corticosteroids shows that even short-term doses can cause negative health effects and a different, unrelated study says that probiotics can cause positive mood effects in people with depression and anxiety. If so, why did you phrase it in a way that made it sound like there was a study that showed that probiotics can counteract the negative effects of corticosteroids?
NO! I did the same thing. Probiotic tabs are OK but probiotic yogurt has a different probiotic strain, S Thermophilus, which creates a histamine reaction in your body. This is exactly what steroids are trying to fight. I developed a full body rash from probiotic yogurt, thanks to this unique probiotic strain found in it, and I resolved it with probiotic pills & steroids. I have always been lactose intolerant in that lactose in dairy products makes me unusually tired. I am a high energy person probably and a runner. It makes sense that this probiotic strain creates histamine and I am now continuing to avaoid dairy products as I’ve pretty much always done and I am healthy once again. My probiotic pills are the best not made from dairy and containing many live strains of probiotics with no side effects at all. It’s as if I’m not taking anything but I have much fewer food sensitivities now and I’m much healthier for it. Very happy with outcome. Dairy just isnt for me, even the probiotic strains that come from it. Everyone is unique though perhaps. I think my lactose intolerance is one factor to take into consideration here and if you are lactose intolerant you might have the same experience as me if you experiment to see.
