Hello! Thank you for reading this article. To clarify: this survey was a joint project between Kantar and MedShadow. The independent lab Valisure was not involved in the study and has no official connection to MedShadow.

“Two-thirds of Americans say they would be willing to pay more for medications if they were tested by an independent third party to ensure their safety and effectiveness, according to a new nationwide survey of 1,000 people conducted over one week by Kantar on behalf of MedShadow.”
In the interest of clarity, please disclose any proprietary interest of the author and/or the publisher with regard to tolling foreign drug manufacturers with redundant and duplicative US testing.
I refer to the US FDA’s “untitled” letter to contact testing laboratory Valisure, which in the past was a strong proponent of this duplicative US testing, which they offered to drug manufacturers. Per FDA’s letter, Valisure’s validation / verification of analytical methods, and their controls, were inadequate. That means Valisure’s testing was not conducted using proper procedures and controls, and their results were not in compliance with US FDA Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.
